About Me
I tend to approach life with a logical mindset and a constant desire to make things better. Whether I am working through a problem, researching something that interests me, creating something new, or spending time with my family, I am usually looking for a better way forward while staying committed to the people and responsibilities that matter most to me.
What Defines Me
Logical
I naturally break problems down, look at the available information, and try to understand how the pieces fit together before deciding what to do. I do not need to know every answer at the beginning. I am comfortable figuring things out as I go.
Optimizer
I rarely look at a process, system, or idea without wondering whether it could work better. Sometimes that means improving efficiency, sometimes simplifying something complicated, and sometimes finding an entirely different approach.
Family First
My strongest commitment is to my family. I want the people closest to me to feel supported, protected, and valued, and I try to measure that commitment through the time and attention I give them.

Dedication Is the Common Thread
If there is one quality that connects the different parts of my life, it is dedication. I bring that same commitment to my marriage, my children, my work, and my education. I do not believe dedication means getting everything right. To me, it means continuing to show up, figuring out what needs to be done, and following through.
Beyond Work
A lot of my free time ends up involving a computer in one way or another. I enjoy gaming, researching topics that catch my interest, watching podcasts, browsing ideas, and creating things. I can easily go down a rabbit hole when something makes me curious, especially if there is something new to learn, compare, design, or improve.
Time with my family matters just as much. One idea I try to keep in mind is, “How do children measure love? Time.” Whether we are building LEGO sets, watching something together, playing games, traveling, or simply spending time together, I want my children to remember that I was present.
Places & Perspective
Nearly two decades of military service and travel exposed me to people, cultures, environments, and ways of thinking that were very different from what I knew growing up. One of the biggest personal changes that came from those experiences was a greater appreciation for alternative mindsets. I have learned that people can approach the same situation from very different perspectives and still have something valuable to contribute.

For much of my life, the path in front of me was shaped by structure. Early on, that came from family. For nearly 20 years, it came from military service, assignments, obligations, and the needs of the Navy. I am grateful for what those experiences gave me, but the next chapter is different.
I want it to feel like mine.
That means having more choice in where I live, how I spend my time, what I pursue, and what I build. It means continuing to challenge myself while also creating more space for family, curiosity, creativity, and the things I genuinely enjoy.
I do not have every part of that future mapped out, and I am comfortable with that. I have spent much of my life learning how to figure out what needs to be done and move forward from there.
